Delivery Policy

Ron Hill Redcar currently delivers to the following locations only.

UK mainland

Scottish Highlands

Please note that at present we do not deliver to the Isle of Man, Northern Ireland or the Channel Islands.

We aim to deliver your order 3 -10 working days from receipt. This timeframe is based on the goods being in stock at the time of ordering. Once the item is ready to be dispatched we will contact you via email. 

As we use a courier service for delivery of items ordered from our website, once an order has been despatched and is in the hands of our courier service then delivery timescales cannot be 100% guaranteed as they are beyond our control and subject to local conditions.

Carriers also have differing size and weight restrictions so very occasionally some items may be too big to send to certain regions of the UK. If we find that shipping an item to your postcode entails logistical difficulties then we reserve the right to cancel the order; but we will only do this after discussing all other available options with you.

Carriers will only deliver to your door step. The service does not extend to bringing the delivery into your home, whether upstairs or down. Neither do they provide an unpacking service and therefore will not remove packaging. 

Deliveries

On delivery, we ask you to check the consignment and sign a Proof of Delivery document. This document confirms that you have received your order in satisfactory condition and that there has been no damage to your property. Goods cannot be left unchecked. Any issues must be reported to customer services immediately.

Within the terms of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 all deliveries should be inspected at your earliest opportunity and any returns of unsuitable items to be reported to us within 14 days after the goods come into your physical possession. If the contract is a sales contract under which multiple goods are ordered by the consumer in one order but some are delivered on different days, the cancellation period ends at the end of 14 days after the day on which the last of the goods comes into your possession.

Have you ordered a large piece?

Some of our pieces are quite large so please take note of the dimensions stated on the individual product pages. Take due care to ensure that the item you wish to order will fit into your home on delivery. It is a customer?s responsibility to ensure that the dimensions are checked prior to order to ensure that there are no access issues.

Finally.

As a respected and honest company, Ron Hill Redcar remain compliant with health and safety requirements - and due to the prevailing culture of litigation we have to point out that we will NOT be held responsible for any damage to goods and/or property as a result of deliveries beyond the threshold of your property. Once you or a person on your behalf has signed the delivery paperwork we shall, in NO event, be held responsible for any damage to either your property or goods delivered. 

Returns Policy

Ron Hill Redcar  want you to be happy every time you decide to shop with us. To this extent we operate a no quibble returns policy. You have a right to cancel either in writing or by email enquiries@ronhillredcar.co.uk any order placed on our website up to 14 calendar days from receipt. Provided we receive the item you wish to return we will gladly exchange or refund it. Dont forget to include the original order number on your cancellation notice.

Ron Hill Home & Garden will cover the return delivery costs and do everything in our power to put things right if:-

  : an item was sent to you in error

  : an item is faulty

  : an item is damaged or defective in any way

There may be instances where the return delivery cost falls to you and we will agree this with you before any arrangements are made. Please note that we cannot arrange collections from overseas locations. 

If you have an issue or have received a damaged item please send us an email with your name, address and order number. Describe the issue as best you can and attach any photographs which illustrate the damage or fault with your item.

We will make every effort to respond as soon as is practically possible during our office hours of 0900 to 1700 Monday to Saturday and 10.30 to 16.30 on Sundays. Please note Bank Holiday opening times may differ. Alternatively you may wish to call us on 01642 489993. Any refund will either be issued to the card used in the original transaction or the PayPal account used. If for any reason Ron Hill Home & Garden cannot offer an acceptable replacement we will automatically refund you and let you know via email.

If you are returning goods for refund or exchange then they should be returned to

This policy does not affect your statutory rights.

 

When considering returning an item we would like to draw your attention to the following;

Artificial Distressing

This is created by hand to enhance the character and no two pieces are exactly alike.

Variations in Finish

A lot of what we sell is hand made or carved using many different materials so variations in the texture, colour and finish will be apparent

Hairline Cracks

These may occasionally appear on the joins of sections of timber. They are caused by natural movement and unfortunately are unavoidable.

Antique Effect Handles

Antique style fittings are given an aged effect to enhance the character of the piece to which they are fitted

Size Variation

Where an item is listed as handmade there may some slight variation in the measurement(s) listed
